anyone have the Soft Topper on their T? Im thinking of getting one since they are in stock ready to ship, and only $700 instead of thousands for a fiberglass top that no one even makes anymore.
I've said this about 500 times, but somehow every week someone completely misses it.
TUNDRA TUNDRA TUNDRA TUNDRA TUNDRA TUNDRA
Look for a first generation Tundra cap. I Have bought two first gen Tundra caps. I'm not quite the bargain hunter Bam is. I paid more to the tune of 300-350.
so you have gotten 3 fiberglass bed caps for free and $50????
that doesnt make any sense.
why would you need 3 of them?
craigslist has nothing... except for up in Maine. Im not driving 800 each way miles for a bed cap.
When I got my 93 T100, I needed something...so the first free one (maroon cab high) was in San Antonio...that was an overnight drive (9hrs)...gave me an opportunity to visit friends. Found one in Phoenix about a year later and went and got that...leaving the one I got in SA at my friend's in Phoenix. After driving with the new one...I didn't like it...too big and bulky. Found someone in Phoenix looking to buy one...so since I was going back that way about a week later and sold it to them fer $200. Got my old maroon one back and put it back on fer my continuing drive to California. About 3 months later, found another one in Tucson fer $50. It was in better condition than the maroon one so I got that one...carrying both caps in the bed to Phoenix. Dropped off the maroon one at my friend's house again and put the $50 on the truck. That's the one I've stayed with fer the past 2 years now. My friend got rid of the maroon one fer me.
When the wife killed the 93...I just swapped the cap over to the 96 T100 (longbed) (that I got to replace the 93) along with the bedliner.
I'm sure I've posted piccies with the various caps on here...just look fer them.

yup. it doesnt fit 100%, but I think its good enough. Its def from a Tundra though..its got a steel tag riveted to the inside that says TUNDRA on it, so I guess I got the right one.
