Good cheap new tires !??

I need a new set of rubber for my 96 T100.

It currently has 31 x 10.5 x 15'' tires on 15'' rimes that say "xtreme" on the hub cover.
First off, what size tire does that convert to in standard size ? 255 75 15?

Any ideas on some good CHEAP tires to use? I only drive on the road. But I will encounter the tough New england winter thats coming. Should I probably go with some decent all seasons?? would I be able to plow with these??

in the end I would like to spend the least amount of money possible on some good new rubber !

Using this tire calculator...

265/75-15 is the size that most common to the 31 x 10.5 x 15 tire.

You can't have a good tire fer cheap...you can have a cheap tire fer cheap that doesn't perform fer squat in the winter.

You could go fer some used tires from yer local tire dealer...but it's usually a crap shoot. How much were you looking to spend?

The lowest price A/T's I've seen that are actually decen tires are General Grabbers.

Honestly though I would just spend the money and get some BFG A/T KO's. You can't go wrong with that, and the extra life you get from buying a high quality tire will make up for the extra initial cost. Bridgestone Duellers are good as well.

If you don't go with A/T's, Michelin LTX M/S's are probably the best all season/street tire. My pops got well over 60k out of a set of those on his T. But an A/T will do better in the snow I would imagine.

Look on craigslist. I found a few local sellers and got a set of 4 31" BF AT tires for $200 (normally 150 each). They had 80% of the thread left.

You can usually find someone who is selling some quality tires that still have lots of life in them because they are changing to a different size, etc.

Mud King ATs and MTs are good budget tires made by BFG. Tread patterns almost identical, work great.

You live in NH which means there is snow cover until late april or may I am guessing. Mud and snow rated tires would serve you well.

haha that would suck. Nah usually most snow is melted by april. And even when there is snow... its usually plowed sanded and salted right away.... But then again, I WOULD like to buy a plow for this badboy

I'm gonna check out craigslist. Like you guys said I can prolly find some good new(er) used tired pretty cheap.

Anything I should stay away from ??

Mud King AT's, yes. Good tires for those who might go off road.
