I was definitely worried about getting stuck. Didn't happen though: Experience. One of the guys with MTs was getting sideways where the back end was pulling toward the ditch due to the crown in the road. When it started doing it to me, let off the gas and creep without breaking traction. He got stuck a short while later and I gave him that advice. When we got to the top, his first comment was basically "Wow, I learned something today." This is from a guy who's got his snowboard racks on top and spends a lot of time driving in snow. That's why everyone in snow country should do trips like these. Never to old or experienced to learn something new.
Yeah, man those Duratracs!!! So when that Ford F-350 was in the ditch, Jason backed into the deep ditch on the opposite side to pull the 350's backend out perpendicular to the ditch. Wasn't enough room for them both when the ford got out, so Jason backed up onto the hill on the other side of the ditch. When done, he just pulled right on out.
Watched him later on climb a hill (with a lot of work...TRD Sport so no locker) in deep snow that I never thought he'd make it up. The way those tires worked made it look like he was driving around on gravel. That's not to say he didn't get himself stuck at one point, but very impressive tires.
