Anybody here get the wet okole seat covers for the front seats? I have the TRD sport seats. I was trying to install the top part of the seat covers and i noticed i could not connect the two parts that are supposed to velcro together. there is a a piece which covers the section between the top part of the seat and the bottom in the back of the seat. do i have to remove this piece to install the seat covers? i was able to velcro the back part to that piece which blocks it and just stuff the front section between the seat. i didn't have a problem with bottom part. did i get the wrong seat covers?
I tried but the piece that blocks it prevents the front from attaching to the back. Here is the piece of the seat I am talking about. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?
Look under the front seat, that cover peice is held on by two C clips, clipped on to the seat springs. Use a plier and stretch the C clips open and remove it from the spring. Now you can pull that plastic cover back & up and cover it with your wet okole seat back cover and run your straps in between & under the seat back & the seat to connect your straps. I have wet okole covers on my truck. They're the best, little maintenance and it looks good too. Hope this helps.
Jabe - Thanks for the help. I figured that's what I supposed to do but I didn't want to do it until I knew for sure. Spencer, the arm rest cover is made by Wet Okole too. It cost $15 bucks. I'll take more pics and post them when I finally get the seat covers on properly.
The price was the only thing bad about them, they cost me about $300. I paid extra for the pockets on the back and the armrest cover. I like them alot, real comfortable and an extra layer of padding. It took about three weeks to get them.
Looks Great, glad to help. I didn't get the TRD wet okole, just got it plain with the dolphins on it. It's the same color as yours, with the pockets on the back and it came with the arm rest cover. Cost $286. out the door.
i have the toyota ones alot cheaper and look great a picture in the gallery

Ok so you unhook the flap from the hog rings and fold it up an under the back of the seat cover BUT, what about the two cables for the lumbar support (i guess?) that run from the seat back to underneath the seat?? They are keeping me from connecting the two seat cover pieces together!
Would someone post a pic of the back of a seat with the Okole covers on in a finished state?

I got my seat covers today (happy birthday to me!) and the passenger one is on fine. The driver's one is good to go except for those wires (lumbar?) that keep you from connecting the front of the top cover to the back part of it. I disconnected those rings with the elastic so thats done and that piece is out of my way. I just need to know what to do with those wires. They don't seem to have much slack.
EDIT: I just got off the phone with the Wet Okole folks. They said they have a new pattern for the trd seats or any with the lumbar support and mine must have been made from the old pattern. They are making a new cover for the top of the driver's seat with cutouts and velcro closures for the wires. They are picking up and delivering for no charge. They look great...but you'll all have to wait another week or two for the driver's seat replacement, then I'll post a photo.
Anyone ordering Wet Okole's should make sure you mention the lumbar support so they will pay special attention to doing the right pattern for the TRD or SR5 seats. They should have used the right pattern anyway but it can't hurt to mention it.
