USA Tinted Taco with wash/clay/wash/NXT Meguiar's Wax pics...

This pic was when I went to visit my Grandmothers Grave. I had to take the shot. Looked kinda cool, but I was at a grave yard!

Ok,
Below are the pics of the
This is the pic After I clay bar'd the truck . It only needed it on the hood and roof, so I just went over the entire truck. And then washed it with Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo and conditioner. My Father-in-Law gave me a hardtime on that one! "Shampoo your truck?" I said only the best for my baby! I used the Mothers clay bar kit from advance auto $16.00.

After fresh coat of NXT. Applied and removed by hand. Best on/off product I have used yet.

And the other side...

Outside admiring my efforts...

Here is my baby. Now tinted 5% in the rear doors and window, 20% on sides. I will probably put another layer of 20% on the sides to make it 5%. I really like how dark the Rears are. My guy in NoVa is real good. PM me if you have any questions.

I am really happy with the results of the clay bar and NXT. I realize the klasse is the crowd favorite, but this is readaly available locally and the results speack for itself. i wish I had a can of carnuba to lay on top!

For those who are intimidated or not sure about claying your Taco... It is so easy and you get instant gratification throught the entire process.

I actually did my wifes Kia before, my Taco. Actually, had to do hers first so I could do mine in peace! (Same steps)

I was almost done detailing my Taco when...

3 Hours after detailing the Sorento my wife returns from her friends newly built home... need I say "CONSTRUCTION SITE!!!"

The NXT Wax is pretty good all I did was rinse off the mud ansd that was it.
No worries. Just thought that you guys would find that Funny! I did!

The Mother's kit is good. It comes with that cleaner wax. I think I have about 3 of those little bottles now. If you have an Autozone around you, the Clay Magic bar is only $10. Works just as well. Just for the future. Anybody want to buy some Mother's cleaner wax?

It's not so much that the NXT is bad. I would put a coat over the Klasse. The thing is, Klasse will easily last 6-12 months. The NXT might last a month. Not bad but I clay my truck every six months and put a coat of Klasse on afterwards. A wax topper goes over that. Great protection for twice a year. I like to keep her clean and shiny so I wash and put a fresh coat of wax on every two weeks in between major details.

Looks great, though. I'm glad you're happy with it. It's a lot of work. I'm hoping to get my detail in soon. Keeps freaking raining!!!
It might snow tomorrow.

FYI,
I used all the mothers clay lubricant on my wifes car. So I had read that it was ok to use soapy water... so I got my lambs wool mit and sudzed it up. worked fine. But you have to work harder to keep it lubed with the soapy water technique.

You make me feel bad! One it is snowing! Two...I've owned my Taco for a little over a year. I've probably washed it 10 times. But have one waxed once. Never clay bar'd or anything. Even worse is my wifes car! We keep em clean in terms of vaccuming and such, but waxing is another story. That being said, I plan to clay bar and wax my Tacoma very soon.

I would love for it to snow. We didnt get enough this year and I ll take any excuse to out my Taco in 4WD.

I basically had to wax my wifes car. Its been over a year and she needed to see that the wash/clay/wash/wax process wasnt a waste of time. If I had time I would do a fresh coat every 2 weeks too. I do want to hit it again with NXT and then put a nice carnuba top coat see how deep. I love working on my truck... even if it is just detailing it. I Also, installed my Sirius Sportster the following day. Ran the antenna out through the thrid brake light.

Looks great. I hate washing my wife's 04 Civic. She loves to park next to sprinklers at work. I don't want to put in the time for maybe 2 days worth of cleanlyness.

Mother's sells that stuff separately, as a detailing spray. Any kind of detailing spray should work as a good clay lubricant. Meguiars Final Inspection is good to use too.

Actually stare at it... it does get creepier! I thought the layout was interesting. My wife wouldnt let me take anymore pics of the Taco! LOL Grave yards are pretty cool. We actually walked this one and some headstones were from 1800's. Some were so old that you couldnt read them. This tree was pretty cool. If you walked under it you could hear the wind blowing through... the second you stepped out nothing. Im not sayin anthing about spirits, just strange and odd at the same time!

Even stranger... after we came back my Digital Canon EOS started acting funny look below....
