Borla air filter

Hello everyone! I want to say thank you to every one on this site for helping me in the purchase of my new Black 06 TRD offroad dbl cab short bed with leather. I have spent he last 2 months lurking on this site arming myself with info to get the best deal I could. $27,500 is what i paid and I couldnt have done it with out all of you!! THANKS.
Now for the question. I got he BORLA exhaust as one of my options and love it!!! But when I got to looking I also got the BORLA air filter. I dont know what Im suppost to do to maintain this thing and neither does the dealer. They have never seen the air filter before. It has a sticker on the out sde of the air box just like the K and N filter and says BORLA blaw blaw 50,000 mile blaw blaw you get the idea. The dealer says use the Kand N cleaning kit and oil but I dont think thats right. Borlas web sit says nothing about it either. The filter is green. Please help. thanks.

First, congrats on your new truck! Where are the pics? I too have the Borla exhaust with Borla air filter. I saw it when I removed the 2nd air filter. I have the same question.

Should have searched first:

http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t110105.html

still it doesn't really address the question...

Just noticed this thread while I was doing a search. If you have a green filter its made by GreenFilterUSA and they make their own cleaning kit that comes with instructions. If the filters red its a K+N and you use the K+N cleaning kit. I went through the same hassle trying to figure out what kind of filter I had because the sticker they put on the airbox says "Borla Filter do not discard".
