3 coats of Klasse Sealant Glaze on my Taco

Well I finally got my truck all prepped and "finished". I have 3 coats of Klasse SG on top of the AIO so I am almost satisfied. I may do another coat or two if I feel so inclined. I think it came out pretty good! Here's what I did:

wash
Claybar
SFX2 on hood and quarter panels...wait one day (it was getting late)
wash
Klasse AIO...wait 2 full days
wash
Klasse SG...wait one day
wash
Klasse SG...wait one day
wash
Klasse SG...take photos!

I'll post some more photos on my cardomain page tonight.

Mods: Feel free to move this to the detailing forum after a bit...I just wanted to show it off here with my tacoma buddies first!

Looks good, but i'll stick to Nano Wax as your process requires entirely too much effort.

Holy crap! Thats pretty much the same process I did with my Tacoma and your results are excellent even with no wax. Good job!

The paint looks super deep, I think you might have sold me on that stuff. Nice job, PB will be proud.

Thanks guys! It does take a bit of a time commitment. Luckily the weather in Miami is good every day so I can pretty much count on working on it any day I want to. Actually its the prep that takes the time. I didn't want to put the finish on something that wasn't as nice as it could be so I did the clay and polishing beforehand. The SG goes on super easy with the Porter Cable and I hand buff it (there's not too much to buff off). That takes maybe an hour for each coat. I'm pretty picky about it but if you didn't prep so much you could do the whole process faster. I sure feel good driving around with that shine!

You know, I bought a clay bar because everyone on this board raves about the process. The gullable jack I am, washed the truck and began the process. However, my paint must be super clean as nothing ever came off, so I said fuck it and polish'waxed 'er up. See, I have a car port and huge garage, so shes never under a tree. Kind of baffled as to why so many people are using a clay bar this early in the trucks life, unless they never wash'er off and let crud build up.

Thumbs up

Outstanding Elwinna!

These trucks look fantastic when they are all polished up. I especially like the Red/Black/Chrome combo on yours.

Super Nice...
