Turtle Wax Ice

I was tooling around the local Target today and ran across this product and decided to give it a try. So I washed with RainX car wash and drying with the microfiber and applied the Ice. It went on quite easily and I didn't really need to do much buffing to get a good shine. We will see if it holds up though. Don't know if any of you out there have tried this product already. Also on a side note I had to take the taco in for some warranty work and they gave me a 06 Rav4 V6. The wife is considering buying one. For being a chik SUV that thing had some get up and go. Very fast but waaaayyy too small. The limited had some nice options like climate control, sunroof and a "on demand" 4X4 system. So all in all not a bad chik SUV.

I tried NuWax but it's not as easy to put on and honestly wasn't happy with the results. I expected it would buff out the scratch lines that are just barely visible.

Wax has no properties that will let it fix a scratch. Some wax might be able to fill in the scratch with wax, but that's just a temporary cover up. To really fix it you need polish.

Have it but have not tried it yet. I'm more of a Meguair's user but figured I'd give it a shot.

Have always had good luck with NuFinish (liquid, not the paste). Goes on easy, wipes off easy too. Do a 2nd coat about a month later and it lasts a year. Did mine last Aug and
still beading water.

I think Klasse is still the best.

I have tried it all.

I have no doubt that Klasse is top notch but for the money this ICE stuff is pretty good. It only took like an hour to was my whole truck including buffing. It looks good. I will def wax again in like a month or so just to add a second coat.

i use that stuff too, but i wouldn't go a whole year with out reapplying, i suggest 6 months max, which is what i do. I have some pics of my talon before and after nufinish, i don't know where they are but after seeing what it did to my talon it's all i use. I do however put on an extra coat of turtle wax super hard shell on the hood because i use a vinyl hood protector on my truck, the extra wax protects the hood from fadding, it actually applies as easy as Nufinish.

As for the Ice wax, i may consider it after i run out of turtle wax superhard shell, either that or just switch to klasse

Not impressed!

I tried the "ICE" from Turtle Wax today and was far from impressed. Guess that is what I get for straying from the tried and trusted Meguiar's products. Back to my NXT wax.

After having used the ICE a couple of time now I can say that it doesn't hold up very well. It looses it's shine after a few weeks. It still beads water well though but the look isn't very good. I'll also have to switch to something else now. I bought some mothers phase one, two and three the other day. It just sucks that it will take all day to do this. Hopefully it will be worth it. I wonder what I should do to take off the ICE? Polish maybe? Not sure.

Yea, I felt like I use using WD40 on a rag. Yuck! I'll just stick with my Meguiar's NXT waxes. I'll probably get flamed for this but if your going to rewax the entire truck try washing it with a mild dishwashing soap that has something to cut grease like dawn. That is what I do once every year when I detail both vehicles for the first time for the season.

Ok guys, I got my flamesuit on, faceshield down, hit me! I'll ty to take it like a man!

I agree with you 100%. It's just like WD40 for sure.

Klasse AIO.
