Suspension noise

Now before you all flame me.. i have used the search button and nothing came up related to my concern

Recently, ive noticed when im driving and hit a bump or small pothole or manhole cover... basically anything that makes the shocks and struts work on the car i hear a clicking/clunking sound its not that loud and its best heard when im driving on a roadway which is paralell to a wall/tunnell or sound barrier device which helps echo the sound back twords me... if this normal? just wondering before i bring it back to toyota. to the best of my hearing sounds like is coming from the front right wheel area...

any ideas?

Sounds like the front bumper extension noise. I had it, twice. Same sound as you described, sounds like suspension but it's not. It's the extension bolts moving. There is a TSB for it now. Just take it into the dealer and tell them, they should know about it.

I have the same noise on my 06 Tacoma. I just had the bumper painted and I guess when they put it back on....that's the noise???? bastards....my 2000 didn't have any rattles...so far I've had the mirror rattle like mad....the seatbelts....the bumper....hmmm

Im glad i posted here or else the dealer would have looked at the suspension and said there's nothing wrong with it then charged me a diagnostic's fee. thanks!

Your dealer charges you for warranty work?
Don't ever let them do that. If you bring it in for a problem that should be covered by warranty and they can't find it, that doesn't mean the problem isn't there.
