they are both double din size head units and will both fit in the scosche kit. the difference is that the Pioneer doesn't have the buttons on the sides like the eclipse i think which makes it a half inch bigger.
Nop I havent tried it out, but I just looked on ebay and I can get a Pioneer AVIC Z1 (HDD navi dvd voice command bluetooth) for $1500 the same price as the AVN6600 but the pioneer has way more features
So i wont have any diffculties with fitting the Pioneer in the Scoshe kit? I thought the scosche is 6.5"
The pioneer is over priced. Its very slow. I was going to get one a while back. I saw it on a tahoe and the menus is quick and all but the navi was slow and the ipod controller were laggin. But for the price your getting it for its not bad. It has a shit load of feautres too. mabye if i had more time with it i would have liked it better but firts impressions were not good. Yeah it wont allow you to drive and watch a dvd, but when they install it they should wire it to where its aviable to. Well atleast the shop i went to did it on the tahoe.

Yeah im gonna close this thread cause i did some research and found out its impossible to override navi so you can watch while your driving. Thanks
^Yeah that's how you do on most brands. But the newer Pioneers have a gyroscope inside that can tell when your vehicle is moving. I'm not sure if you can bypass the newer ones yet. And if you can, it will probably take some kind of expensive adapter.
The Eclipse units are by far the most "Installer Friendly", in a Toyota. Everything just plugs in, inlcuding the stock steering wheel controls. No adapters or wiring harnesses needed.
