Angry Cracked bezel (over speedometer) on my 2006 Tacoma

Has anyone else ever seen this happen?? I was driving my truck to the store today and I noticed that the bezel over my speedometer had a couple of funny looking lines on it. I figured it was just a smudge or dirt, but when I got back to my house and tried to clean it off that is when I realized it was cracked (in 4 different places). The cracks are just hairline thin and all run vertical. You don't really notice them unless you look at the bezel from a slight angle- but there is no doubt that it is cracked. I looked at the other to bezel covers and they are fine- it is just the one over my speedo that is cracked. The only thing I can think that may have caused this is the extreme swing in temps we have had here over ther last few days.....it was in the mid-to-low 30's the other night and it is pushing 90 today.

This should be covered under warranty right? I have only had the truck for a month.....

It was hard to get my camera to focus on the cracks.....if you look in the above picture the verticle lines under the 60 km/h, 80 km/h, and 80 mph marks are cracks. The non-verticle lines are just glare from the flash.

Man that blows and yeah I would take it back to the dealer and have them replace it. With the interior being so easy to scratch and stuff are you sure you didn't sneeze and cause it to crack. j/k

Dude, YEAH!!! Go to your dealer and tell them what's up. That should definitley be under your warranty. And by the way. DAMN!!!! 30 one day then 90 the next. WOW!!! That's some extreme wheather. And I thought the Louisiana humidity was bad.
