HID Group Buy

Hi everyone, I would like to announce a group buy for some very high quality HID products. A friend of mine is a distributor for these kits and has allowed me to run this group buy and pass on some good savings to the TN community.

I personally have one of the H4 kits installed on my Tacoma and I love it. The cutoff and beam pattern are pretty much stock except much brighter and whiter. There is not a lot of glare due to a shield that comes already installed on the bulb. Take a look at the attached pictures for some examples of the beam pattern and cutoff line.

In the past 6 months, over 300 of these kits have been sold with no bad comments yet. The price, performance, quality and warranty are all top notch. The kits are packaged under the HALO brand name but are made up of OEM parts including the ballast and bulbs. Here are some details:

These HID kits are assembled with German made Phillips bulbs (OEM bulbs on many American, Asian and European vehicles) and Japanese made FET ballasts (FET owns CATZ and these are the OEM Ballasts for Acura, Honda, Toyota and Lexus.

These kits will replace a standard halogen or xenon bulb without modification. That’s right, plug and play.

All parts come with a 1 year warranty, including the bulbs and are available in the following sizes:

H1
H3
H4(HB2)*
H7
H11
H13(9008)*
9004(HB1)*
9005(HB3)
9006(HB4)
9007(HB5)*
*these applications are low beam only, high beam will be lost. We do lose the high beam on our Tacomas, but you won't find much need for them with this kit.

All HID kit sizes are available in these different Kelvin intensities:
4300K (OEM appearance)

3000K (yellow for fog light)

6000K (hyper white)

8000K (white with little blue)

10000K (super blue)

12000k (dep purple)

Please excuse this picture, I borrowed it:

Here are some pics on my Tacoma (they're the 6000K) and they don't do it justice, you have to see these in person to see how well they really do work:

The pricing for the kits will be $299 + $15 shipping. These kits retail for over $400 with this type of OEM quality. I can accept personal checks (will wait for them to clear before shipping), certified bank checks or money orders. If you are in the NE MA area you can also come and pick them up if you want to save on shipping.

Let me know if you're interested and we can start to put a list together. I'd like to get as many as we can at once and do a big purchase, but this will probably remain an open purchase option instead of just a one time buy thing. Please respond to this post with your email address if you're insterested and I will start to put together a list. Thanks for reading if you got this far, there was a lot of info to put out there.

Cool. I would look into buying a set if I hadn't just spent $75 on PIAA headlight bulbs.

I bought some PIAA GT-X's less than a month ago, I'm just going to sell those on ebay or something. These HIDs were well worth it

HOLY SHIT!! $299.00 +$15.00 shipping. That's way out of my price range. As I was scrolling through the post, I was thinking under $100.00. But, I don't know much about HID's and headlights and all that. I'll just stick with what I have for right now. But, good write up for the group buy. Hope you get some takers.

The fog lights are Luminics Titanium White's. They look really close to the HID color when you stand back a few feet. During the day if you have just the fogs one, they have the HID look. They are probably the closest match to the HID without getting too blue with the Pure Blue's. Great bulb for $30. I will try and get more pics of them.

All you have to do to install these is put the bulb in the housing, connect the bulb to the ballast connectors, then plug the bulb into the stock headlight connector. No wire cutting or splicing involved. Then you just mount the ballast somewhere near your headlights under the hood. Some of the bulbs have come packaged with the same 3 prong connector as the stock bulb and some have come with just the two wires with the male spade connectors. In this case, you just stick them inside the slots in the stock housing. Just have to get the right ones for the low beam (there are three slots on the stock connector, ground, low and high beam). Let me know if you have anymore questions.

They really don't look much different than a stock Infiniti with HID reflectors. Maybe a little bit brighter, but not much.

P.S. Anyone know what happened to my pics? They were working last night and now only the TN logo is there??

That's actually not too expensive, for true HID conversions... but imo, the loss of high beam is unacceptable.

Mochedda was correct, our stock halogen's have dual filament bulbs. With the HID you only have one light source, so you lose the high beam with these bulbs. IMO with these, you don't need the highs unless you want to see half a mile down the road. I drive a dark unlit road every night and don't need the highs with these. Some people like to have that option though so these may not be for everyone.

Does the kit include a relay to the battery/alternate power source, or is all the wiring/power draw through the OEM light wiring?

$299 is actually a decent price for one of these kits, especially if the claims of Phillips bulbs and Japanese ballasts is true.
