TRD exhaust routing question

Hello all, I am currently in Iraq but as soon as I get back I will be picking up my truck (DC LB 4X4 SDWY BL Sport) and I am planning on doing a few things right away.

Question is... Is the TRD ehaust routed different than the regular ehaust. I am pretty set on getting the trd exhaut anyways. I have read here and there that the regular factory exhaust hangs down somewhere around the t-case and is pretty low at one point. I am just wondering if getting the trd exhaust would eliminate that. Thanks for your help guys.

Tony

no, the trd cat back changes nothing, all the routing you're mentioning happens just foward of the cat back mounting point.

Yep, the TRD Exhaust won't change the fact that the left Y-pipe hanges below the cross member behind the transfer case. The TRD muffler can is a bit smaller, reducing its chances of been hit. But that would be rare if it did happen.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have not personally seen the extent of how far teh pipe actually hangs down.. Is it to an extent that it should be re-routed? Is there a common solution? I recall one person on this forum saying that their pipe had already dented a little.

It hangs down too far, I've flattened mine along the whole length of that crossmember. Has anyone found a decent solution to this problem?
