Does anyone know of a site that has these? I've seen black 'Lexus' 'Corolla' and other Toyota black emblems on cars, but i haven't come acrosss anything for a Tundra or our Tacomas. I did a search and found nothing. Anyone have an idea, i'd like to replace the side 'Tacoma' on the doors with black/dark grey colored ones, otherwise they're being taken off. Thanks for any help.
You can always spend $7 for krylon fusion paint and do it yourself. Thats the only way ive seen it done and did it myself, very easy to do.
Did you have to strip the emblem off the vehicle and do it? Or how did you do it otherwise to not over spray onto the paint that are in the fine "gaps/spaces"? Thanks for any input.
With the painting method, you'd probably have to buy new ones, paint those, and then apply. Or...take off the old ones carefully so the glue is in tact, put on wax paper, paint, then reapply? /shrug.
I'm not the biggest fan of chrome and was on vacation a while back, so decided to do mine. I figured if they didn't turn out, oh well I'll have a debadged truck. So what did I do? Well, first I carefully took them off making sure not to break them, then I took off all the old glue, scuffed them up a bit with a scotch pad, cleaned them up, sprayed them with a few coats of kyrolon fusion I had kicking around, then a couple thin coats of clear, also had it lying around. I did have to go out and buy some double sided 3M tape for automotive moldings (cheap), I traced the emblem to the paper on the two sided tape, cut the tape with an xacto knife, placed it on the back of the newly painted emblems, and put them back on the truck. It's been over three months and they still look good, in fact you can't even tell they didn't come like that. I like it, it makes the 'Tacoma' more subtle but still lets you know what it is if you didn't know.

I'd like to see some pics of how it looks. Ya got any? Seems like a pretty good way to do it. Seems easy enough.
