New owner, wheel well question

Hello, my friend just bought a 2006 Taco, double cab, long bed white with granite interior.... Here's my question... (I searched the forum, and couldn't find the answer to this)
She wants to paint the part over the wheel well black instead of the white that it comes in. What would she paint it with, and how?
Thanks in advance for your comments and suggestions!!!

Here's with the white:

But she wants it looking like this with the black:

Coat them with line-ex or Rhino Liner, the same stuff that is used as "spray-in" bedliners. I have seen pictures of several white trucks with it done and it looks pretty decent, and I am sure someone will post a picture of a truck with that done in this thread. You can also get unpainted fenders from Toyota which will give you the same look- they come in a black/gray plastic color when unpainted from the factory.

Those flares in the picture of the regular cab truck are the ones that come with the base models and I think they are actually charcoal colored and are not painted-- the charcoal color is the color of the fender flare material (plastic). Maybe you could find someone with a truck like this and trade?

Why on earth would she want the wheel well trim black? Basically those that you see black are the base models and I'm pretty sure that the trim is molded that color and not painted. There is always a chance someone on here with a white base model truck would wanna trade fender pieces.

I kind of like the look of the charcoal flares too, just personal taste.

It's up to her.

There is some dude around here with an access cab TRD Sport in Silver.

He has 2 fat black stripes going down the middle of the truck.

He also has his fender flares painted black.

Looks absolutely DISGUSTING.

Painted flares look OK if you have a lift with large ass tires, not stock.

You guessed it, it was a m******.

You could probably just take the flares off of her truck and take them to someone to have them painted the black she would like, or you could trade as said earlier, or you could buy a set of those charcoal ones and strap them on, or have them painted if she wants like a black like the black color the truck is offered in.

I saw a pic over on TTORA a while back where a guy Line-Xed his fender flares (white or silver, can't remember), then continued the Line-X down his rocker panels about 8-10" up from the bottom. It really looked good.

Why not ask if anyone wants to trade? I'm sure there must be someone with the base model fenders that would love to upgrade!

I was wondering why my truck was parked differently in the driveway when I got home! NOW I KNOW! And with an empty tank no less!

That sucks she could have at least put some gas in it

I guess that answers that question, she wants what she wants and what she wants is to be a little different from other trucks.I`m thinkin it`d look cool but I`d have to see it.Oh, there`s a link to a pic didn`t see that, ummmmmmmm matte black looks like crap call a paint shop and see what they`d charge to paint them, you`ll save some $$$$$ if you pull them off and take them just the flares
It`s good to be different

If she doesn`t mind the exposed bolt/pocket look check these out

I have seen one the way she wants it and it makes the wheel wells look HUGE. But to each their own I guess.
