H3 Wheels on a Tacoma.......Hmmmm

Curiosity got the best of me and I couldn't pass up the deal. I have been curious how the H3 wheels would look and I found a great deal on Ebay of course. All five wheels and 285/75-16 Bridgestone Desert Duelers, 1 brand new (Spare). For only 400 bucks. The 285 is factory on the "Adventure Series". The only problem is the center bore is a little small so to run the rear flat to the drum you have to perform a small amount of machining. The front you have to run a 1" spacer because the H3 wheels have 1/2 more backspacing than the OE wheels. A 1" spacer gives you about 1/4-3/8" clearance between the tire and UCA. The truck has Donahoe C/O's on the front set at 2" of lift and nothing on the rear. Deavers are in the future, but the wife gets real suspicious of large packages with metal parts. She even knows the're expensive.

Yeah, it says HUMMER on the black part of the hub cap. But you have to get real close or recognize the wheel to notice.

Id keep the tires and throw the rims in the garbage. The fewer GM components you have on your truck, the better!

I actually like it. It's different. And if you can get rid of the hummer on the black part it would be even better. Nice work!

I was about to ask how you managed to fit them on with our large center bores.

Glad you got them to fit!
