So........ Is this normal?

I planning on doing my first oil change tomorrow so I decided to get under the truck and get familiar before i set down to actually do the change (and also make sure I don't make the mistake and drain the AT fluid like I have read of others mistakes.

I get down there and I notice that there is AT fluid on like 4 of the screws and some seepage where the pan connects to the transmission, is this normal?

I also noticed that right behind the oil pan (the side closest to the AT pan) there's this black plastic piece that has some play to it and it has oil all over it, anybody know what this is to and if that is also normal.

Thinking i may have to go in to the dealer for my first change.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to say, when I did my first oil change, there were no seepages like your's. Definately take it to the dealer to get the problem documentented. The drain plugs probably just need to be readjusted
