Smile what size enclosure can I fit in a double cab?

I am going to remove the stock jbl sub enclosure and replace it with a 12" sub and box. Does anyone know the measurements of the area behind a double cab seat without the stock sub? Also do I need an amp hookup kit or can I use the stock stuff? (got the avn6600 on the way!) 1400 watt alpine amp and alpine 12"! will this work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/12-RE...12782179QQrdZ1

try www.tacotunes.com or www.crutchfield.com ...taco tunes has a pretty sweet box but requires a little modification...crutchfield sells the scosche enclosure which fits behind the seat perfect. Do a search and you will come up with alot of pics and info. Look on cardomain as well.

You need to check and see what the mounting depth is for your speaker. I have been looking at putting a couple of 12" in my truck and have been running into a mounting depth issue. Another thing I have been looking at is how much air space I can get and match it with the correct speeaker. I would suggest checking that also.

Some guy on here managed to fit 2 - 12IDQs in the back! He had to build a custom box though.

I am happy with the Scosche enclosure. I cured the rattles and it's great, no more taking up the rear seats with a box.

The next step is to change the driver, then it will sound even better.

I fit a 12" sub enclosure behind the back seat of my DC. I'll try to finish the instal and post pics soon.

I also modified a TacoTunes box for a guy. It was their standard 10" enclosure. I opened up the hole to a 12" and shaved out a little wood in the back of the box. The sub needs to be around 5" deep and certainly no deeper than 5.5"

I also fit a 12" sub behind the rear seats in my DC. Click the link im my sig for pics. Sorry I can't help with dimensions though as I had my friends at the stereo shop build it. I do know it's right at 1 cu/ft airspace. You will be greatly limited by what subs you can fit in there though. My box has a max depth of 5.5", and for a 12 that limits options greatly. I went with a memphis PR124d running off a memphis mc250d and it hits pretty good. Just remember to ditch the black plastic covering off the rear of the seatbacks. I was amazed at how much difference that alone made.
