Front fender squeaks...and I broke the clip....Damm!
When washing the truck, I accidently found the drive side fender was squeaking; out of curiosity, I tried to look for any loose bolts/screws under the area so I might be able to secure the fender and stop the squeak.
I removed the six screws that held the fender flare to the inner fender and tried to remove the flare, first "pop" - I got the flare loose at the front end but I broke the clip. I stop trying 'cause I don't want to break any thing else.
Anyone here had experienced with the front fender flare removal, please enlighten the trick to remove this damm piece, thanks in advance for your advice.
i noticed that my passenger-side front fender squeaks- right behind the headlight. I noticed it about a month after I got it (15 months ago) when I leaned on it while washing. That's the only time it squeaks. Probably some fender bolt that is not adequately torqued. It has not bothered me enough to get it fixed. IMHO, the dealer would probably do more damage trying to remove the front bumper and fender just to get to one bolt that is loose. I'm just gonna leave it.

My pass-side is Ok'ed, so this tells me that the squeaks is unsual. I had the same thought like you said "the dealer would probably do more damage trying to remove the front bumper and fender just to get to one bolt that is loose." Therefore, I tried to do it myself, because I've done things like this with my older Tacoma truck; comes to find out my skill needs an update :.
My passenger side was squeaking, till I got my friend to shake the truck as I layed underneath. I couldn't hear it. Then he says its up hear some where. I was WTF! Long story short, f-in antenna wasn't screwed in all the way and it was making a very loud scratching squeaky clothes line noise.

I too have an annoying squeaky noise coming from my front end on the passenger side. I'll have to check the antenna. It makes the noise just driving through a minimally rough parking lot. I've had it on a lift and inspected everything I thought it might be, but haven't found it. I had the same thought about taking it to the dealer--they'll do more harm than good. Sad.
My buddy had a wind noise coming from the sunroof in his new 4Runner. He took it to the dealership where he bought it to have it fixed. The dealership put some kid on it and when my buddy got it back, the wind noise was still there AND they put a crease in his headliner and put a 8" scratch in his center console. They also forgot to put some of the screws back in the side panels! He was furious. He complained and the dealership eventually made everything right, but it took at least 5 trips in total. Don't assume just because you are taking it to the dealer that it will be done right. He said he showed the kid the things that were f-cked-up and the kid just shrugged his shoulders, like "so?"
I'll put up with the squeaky noise for a while before I take my new truck to the dealership where they'll put some young, inexperienced kid to work on it.
mine squeakes on both the driver and pass side of the truck right behing the headlights. The only time mine does it is when I wash it, geuss it's not to much to worry about
With all responds here, I guess I'll deal with the squeaks and hoping that none of my friend will "accidently" lean/push on that darn fender behind the head light to cause it squeaking; otherwise it'll be an endlesstalk of the truck since I've been bragging sooooo much of how good Toyota held up its quality .
The overfenders are supposed to fit loose. They're cushioned by that rubber strip. A strong stream of water might get some dirt out of the joint and stop the squeaking.
