"You can quickly and easily search through all of the music contained on your iPod through Playlist, Artist, Album or Song searches. You can view Artist, Album, Song Information and Song Number right on the head unit's display."
The best part is the price $30 from crutchfield. It has received great reviews. Way to go Alpine! I can't wait to get both products.
Note: I learned that the popular USA spec df toy or pa toy only works on the factory stereo.
I don't think Alpine are pioneers on this one. I've had my kenwood ipod adapter for a while now. and im sure many other brands have similar ones out too.

I agree that Alpine was not the first and are not the only ones with this cable. But I too recently got an Alpine headunit and got this cable free. I love it! Routed the cable to my center console and my Ipod is in there all the time. This is the best way to use an Ipod and car stereo together.
2k6Tac - Dude you will love that dvd in dash. Its so quick with the ipod. NO lag at all. The stereo shop i always take my truck to has one on display i really love that alpine its sweet, just lags the navi. Alipine carries the quickest ipod to headunit cable. Others lag, this combo felt like i was holding my ipod on my fingertips. No lag at all and gives me all the info on the ipod screen much easier to use. You lucky guy you. Let me know how the alpine turns out cant wait for pics mabye ill get the same one and just use my phone for directions hahaha saves me $1k.

Might as well if im spenind big bucks might as well do it right the first time. I dirve a shit load and always getting lost. Becuase im usually by myself so somtimes its hard to drive with directions in ur hand and looking up at the road. I think a navi would help out. The dvd really is what ill use less.
I have a shop that ive been taking my trucks too im sure he will install it either for free or cheap.

Oh well, I just ai net to rca cable to mini plugged it in through the headphone jack you have to control it from the mp3 player but for about $30....I don`t mind
