rear leaf springs

Hey guys im kinda getting sick of spraying lube on my leaf springs to keep them from squeaking. I think i'd like to buy a 10 or 12 pack spring set and just replace the current springs. The reason they squeak is because of the add a leaf kit i put on. What would be my best bet on a set of springs? I want to keep the payload but want about 3" of lift pref. without changing the shocks. Dont want to spend a fortune either. Can enyone help?

Deavers or the OME's, Deavers are a about 60 or so more, but softer from what I hear, you'll lose payload with those, but not the EMU-Deavers 532.00, OME about 485

If you want a full leaf pack and 3" in the back plus keeping your payload about the same; All-Pro makes a full 3" leaf pack set, the Dakars gave me 2.75" and the Deaver 12s are about the same I believe. Either option you choose, I strongly recommend replacing the stock shocks.

Wheelers just gave me a price of $493 for the OME Dakar's which includes shipping from OR to OH. That's a sweet deal considering how far Ohio is from Oregon.

That price includes everything you need.
Leaf Springs
Poly Bushings
Ubolt Set
Carrier drop

The Dakar's are pretty beefy. http://www.arbusa.com/emu_dakar_leaf_springs.php

I don't know about other setups, but I also have to continually lube my Deavers to keep them from f*&%#ing squeaking.

Those are awesome PB these are what i've been looking at. What will you use on the front?

It's pretty bad when the only thing that sticks out to me is the anti-squeak on those Dakars

Don't miss out on All-pro Off Road's big sale they have 1.5" and 3" springs on sale now for a short time. These are nice springs and the deal is awsome, only $339 a pair.
Check it out here: http://www.allprooffroad.com/index.p...ask=view&id=47

I've already got a lift. Hoes in the front, and Alcan AAL in the rear. I want a little more lift in the rear, so I'm gonna replace the whole stock leaf pack. TRDparts4u has the Dakars for $159 for each pack, then you have to add U bolts and bushings. Wheelers had a better price, but I think TRDparts4u is going to match their price. I'd rather go with TRDparts4u because they accept PayPal, which is where all my secret money is. But if you're using a credit card you might as well order from WheelersOffroad.com, especially if you live on the West Coast. E-mail jason@wheelersoffroad.com and tell him to hook you up for less than $500 shipped for everything.

Has anyone else had trouble with new squeaks from AAL? I just ordered a 2.5" leveling kit from Wheeler's and it would SUCK if my quiet springs starting squeaking!

I currently have an AAL, and no squeeking problems. But I never had any squeeking problems before the AAL either.

My rear starting squeaking WAY before putting in the AAL so I don't think that is the problem.

Taco5, did your truck start squeeking before or after you went mudding? I'm starting to think that the squeeking could be coming from dirt between the leafs.

For me it was a little bit cheaper from trdparts4u because I live on the westcoast and the springs were dropped ship from ARB in WA instead of from trdparts in dallas. I only ordered the springs and bushings though which were $430 shipped. However if I ordered springs with the OME u-bolts and carrier drop spacer, Wheelers would have been cheaper. I wished I had ordered the them with the OME u-bolts because it took me a while to hunt down the correct size u-bolts that I need. The only upside is the u-bolts I found are a little thicker than the OME's. The carrier drop spacer, I'm going to make at work with some 3/8" plates

Hans, I found some 9/16" dia x 3" x 10" long, round u-bolts at BDS and just cut them to length. Just letting you know in case you ever wanted to do a u-bolt flip with those tall springs. You'll probably have a hard time finding a ready-made kit that will fit. I did.

Thanks Bill. I looked all over autoparts stores and truck shops but I keep finding u-bolts that are too narrow or too short. I found some square Rancho 9/16" dia. x 2.56" x 8.50" u-bolts kit that included hardware. They were $9.75 each.

Also I ordered a pair of Rancho 2.5 degree pinion shims for $8.
