Low beams stopped working?????

I'm having a problem with my 01 tacoma. I have running lights, when I turn on my lows I have nothing and my bright flasher turns on in the dash. When I turn on my brights, they work also. First thing I checked was the fuses under the hood. Replaced both, still have the problem. Next I went and bought new headlights. NO go same problem. Next I went and bought the denso headlight relay. NO go. Do you think I shoud next replace the mulit combo switch in the colum? Its a hunderd and fifty bucks!!!! Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Well I ordered the combo switch and still no lights. I have my collum apart so I took a test light and clipped it to the tilt wheel bar to get a ground. With the combo switch hooked up to the harness and with the lights in the on position, I started to test each one of the wires. When I got to the White/red wire, boom my lights came on!!!! So there has to be a open ground for the lights because everthing else is working from the switch( turn signals, running lights) Does anyone have an Idea on where to check for the ground for the lights. I tried two white/black wires that were attached to the body close to the battery. I tried to loosen the bolt and crank it back down. Nothing. Otherwise I hate to rig it, but I need lights!!!! I was going to splice into the white/red wire and run a wire under the dash to a ground. But that is a last resort. Any Ideas are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
