how to get to wires for locker and AC outlet buttons.

hey guys, im looking to add some hella black magics to my truck and i would like the wiring to look factory so i was thinking of buying one of the factory buttons (like where the e-locker button is) but i cant figure out how to take the dash apart to actually get to the backs of the buttoms themselves. Any help appreciated. I'm a little drunk so this might not make much sense, lol. thanks in advance guys.

Take out the mirror control switch panel thingy. Just reach up behind it and push it out. Good luck getting to the top 3 switches. They are guarded by a "shelf" and take some serious hand squeezin to reach...unless you are female or have similar sized hands.

I have some Hella Black Magics also. if you see the little flip out pocket there, theen just open it and pull it out. and you should be able to put your hand in through that hole push them out. and the good thing bout the hella black magic kit, it that they come wiht an OEM style wiring harness so they have all the wire and tape around the wires making for a really clean look.

Just take off the bottom of the dash.I bought a factory fog light switch and used it for the driving lights I put on my bull bar.All you have to do is bend two of prongs at 90 degress and push on a female wire connector. If you want thwe switch to light up tap into the green wire on the front of the fuse block. Its the parking light wire. Then the switch will light up when you turn on the lights. If you want the factory wire plug you would have to get the entire harness or go to a junk yard and cut the wire plug off another one. What I did works great. The switch is a little pricey like 43 dollars if I remember right.

Yeah, just use like 4 of those 1/8" female connectors for the factory switch. I ended up cutting the plastic connector clip from the switch (the area around the terminals) and then used liquid electrical tape to seal it all up. As fro the illumination wire, I just jumped off the fog light switch for + and - illumination. Short, sweet and easy.
