Drivers seat wear issue??

i have an 06 tacoma with sport interior.
Has anyone had any problem with the side if the seat rubbing on the lumbar knob and wearing the material seat ?/ I am not a fat ass just avarage so no overweight load on the seat padding. i only have 5000 miles and it is showing wear hell i will have a big hole in it by 30,000ml.
Can we get maybe smaller knob for lumbar or am i the only one with problem.

I am 6ft at 185pds and would say I a tubbie, tubbie (as in chunky). Anyway, I have also noticed the lumbar knob is wearing on the seat causing some discoloration. Not real sure what can be done about it. BTW, I have about 13k miles.

I am at the lake a lot during the summer and I got the same "stain" from getting in with damp shorts. I bought the neoprene seat covers to remedy the problem, but the same thing happened to the rear seats. WTF is up w/that?

I'll have to see if I have the premature wear problem.

I think this problem is because we have to climb up into and over the side of the seat. This over and over smashing down the side bolster causes the side to rub into the knob.

I dont have any problems with the fabric around the knob, but I noticed the mesh fabric that runs down the middle was getting kinda frayed on the bottom cusion. Would suck if one of those things broke. I was always paranoid one of the rivets on my jeans or something would catch in a loop and rip it up. One of the main reasons I got my seat covers.

I think the issue here is how you get in and out of your seats. I notice several time when people climbing in and out of my truck, people like to slid their buttocks across the outside lumber support and plop down. I'm 6' 1" and 195 lbs. and have no problem lifting my ass up and onto the seat but on occasion will rub my ham across the outter lumber to get out.

So use the bitch handle and lift your hammy instead of slidding it across the lumber support.
