Does anyone have a car radio with integrated bluetooth technology? Specifically for attaching your cell phone to be used thru the radio. What kind do you have?
I was looking into this as well...the pioneer z1 has it but i believe you have to buy a BT module none that i've seen yet have it already integrated into the system...it's ready for it, just have to add it on
Yeah, I've got the Pioneer bluetooth module (CD-BTB100) for my AVIC-Z1. Costs about $140, but it's money well spent. I had the bluetooth in my BMW, and couldn't live without it in the Taco. Works well. Once I got the microphone placement and volume settings fine tuned, I can hear and be heard very clearly, without any echo, feedback, or static.

Check out this Pioneer HU i was thinking of getting. the bluetooth is built in and it comes with the hands free mic. Its about $500 depending on where you shop, but it looks nice!
I'm thinking of picking up this Sony deck, with built in Blu-tooth. Crutchfield has it for $399.00.

I just recently got a Parrot CK3100 bluetooth kit. It can be integrated with any car stereo with a special harness that you get from www.parrotkits.com It's one of the best bluetooth pieces on the market. It has a small LCD screen that displays your battery, signal strength, caller ID, phonebook and other menus for the phone/kit. The clarity is awesome, when I call people, they don't even know they are on a speaker phone, it sounds that clear. The install kit works with the stock wiring harness. I have an eclipse AVN5500 but as long as you are using the stock harnesses, you can use their install kit and it makes it a simple plug and play install.
I've been wanting to get something like that for quite some time for my tacoma. Is it a hard install? I'm not great at radio wiring. How much will it cost me to do the same thing? I still ahve the factory radio though?
It's a very easy install. The only problem I had was fitting all the wiring back behind the dash, but that's because I already have an aftermarket radio with the nav antenna back there, plus RCA's for my amp. It was tough, but it all fit.
If you get that kit from parrotkits.com, it's as simple as unplugging your stock radio and plugging it into the new connectors and then mouting the unit and running the microphone up the a-pillar. The cost will be $170 for the bluetooth piece and $50 for the wiring harness + shipping. Hope that helps. I'll try to go get a couple pictures of mine installed.
Yes, the parrot can be hooked up to anything. It comes with ISO type connectors, like are on VW's, but at www.parrotkits.com they sell harnesses to make them plug n' play with most vehicle's stock radio harnesses. So as long as you're still using the stock wiring harness/connectors, the kit should plug right in. I have the eclipse head unit but since I'm still using the stock wiring harness, the parrot kit plugged right into it and it automatically mutes the radio and plays through the speakers.
