ATV fit in short bed?

I forgot to ask in my last post if anyone has experience loading (or trying to load) a 4 wheeler into bed of short bed taco? I have yamaha grizzly 660 and it's 86" long...I wondered if it might fit since the front wheels would go up on wheel wells, and with the tailgate down....all strapped in? just not sure. Have seen 4 wheelers in backs of trucks before...smaller trucks like s-10/colorado just not specifically tacomas. Thanks a lot.

Does yours ride on the wheel wells in the long bed? You're my idol with the brute force 750. I really like my Grizz but my next one will be either the BF 750 or the Can Am 800.

it fits very well inbetween the wheel wells. there is about 1/2 inch clearance between the tires and the wheel wells afterwards. only reason why i dont put it in the bed anymore, is because of my bigger wheel and tire setup which is 14in ITP C7 rims, and 27in ITP Mud Lite XTR's. i just wish it was EFI.

I've got a Grizzly 700 and I've never attempted to put in the bed. With my aftermarket tires and wheels it's just too wide. I just opted for the trailering route...much rather load it in the bed. Next truck I'll be able too!

I wondered about the XTRs...th ose are sweet tires....I have the ITP C5s and mud lite XLs..12 on rear and 10 on front....26"....wide enough to make me wonder about it riding on the wheel wells....even if the bed/tailgate is long enough I'd have to strap it in really well and I don't think the d-ring tie down mounts are strong enough to hold it...400 lbs i think....grizzly is about 600 lbs? so that spread over two mounts? hmmmmm I have a trailer for my business and I've been hauling it around with that but I was just thinking....which always leads me into problems. I bet that new 700 GRIZZLY IS AWESOME. I have an 05 and I like it a lot but wish it had the EFI. What's the power stearing like?

The power steering is real nice. I'm used to it now and when I ride a friends quad and it feels a lot different. It really shines in the slow rocky technical sections of the northeast. EFI has been great so far. Waiting to see how it does in the dead of winter.

I have a YFZ450 sport quad and it just fits in the bed. Rear tires stay on the tail gate and the tires JUST fit in between the wheel wells in the bed. My YFZ450 is about 73" in length.

my next quad will be the can-am 800, hope to get it sometime next year. It seems to be the best quad out there right now, and the price shows it.

Nice quad and truck Forgotten1. If I ever had the extra cake to buy a sport quad, a yellow 700 would be the one!

I have a banshee with +3 a-arms and a +6 swing arm with an access cab. The front tires are a pain in the ass because you have to be in the bed and pull the tires over the fender wells. With the swing arm the bed will not close but it is close.
