Flashlight reccomendations for DC holder?

I currently have a Maglight in the flashlight holder in my 2005 DC, however I am about to remove it as it rattles behind the seat and is driving me crazy.

What is everyone else using? Any decent lights that fit snugly into the flashlight holder behing the rear seats???

Good question. I have a double-D-cell Maglight that is too long for the flashlight holder...

instead of getting a new flashlight, why not put a little bit of foam weatherstripping around the flashlight hole, should stop the rattle

I keep my triple D (hehehe) Maglight in the center console (between the seats). It fits and there's little/no rattle...

Where do you guys buy your mounts at? I want to mount mine just like silver's, right on the side of the driver seat.

Do yourself a favor and go buy a Surefire. 30 billion times better than a mag...unless you intend on hitting someone with it.

Go to Gall's, its a police supply magazine store/online place. You can buy a maglight and mount that will charge the flashlight and hold it in place. It's basically the same set up as the po po have in their patrol cars and it's brighter than the regular maglights (and YES it is great for handing out an occasional beatdown)....plus no weapons charge if a cop sees it in the truck.

Streamlight stinger.7 inches long and it fits anywhere.I have a gun permit so Im not worried about hitting anyone with it.It also comes with a holder you can mount that will recharge it in the truck.I have been using one day in day out for 5 years at work.No problems.

Or wrap the handle of the flashlight with the same stuff they wrap tennis racket handles with. My maglight rattles around too, and that's what I've been considering doing.

And yes, I DO have a surefire....but it's mounted to my Benelli.

A big +1 to that. For those of you who have never seen a surefire in action, you are missing something awesome. There's a good reason that they are as expensive as they are....it's because nothing else compares. I have the Surefire U2 Ultra. 270 bucks and the best money I've ever spent. I work in the middle of the night so I need a good flashlight. Check out www.surefire.com. You won't be dissappointed if anyone decides to buy one.
