Can anyone post some pics of actual lube points to fix this noise although temporary and something that will last even if it gets wet? After a couple days of rain and a quiet truck the sun is out and everything is dry, the noise is back with a vengence and don't want to bother driving it because being the head turner it was/is, it turns heads for another reason and of course Toyota won't do anything about it but give excuses and empty promises.
I hate this f*cking truck at this point and am about ready to part ways with it for something else very, very soon. I hope I bury the f*cker this weekend and lose it in a mudhole. Anyway, thanks guys!

That sucks you're having such a problem with the springs. Is the leaf spring noise the only thing that's got you angry at your truck, or are you having other issues as well?
The noise happens of course when driving but can duplicate it the following ways:
pushing up and down on the rear, pushing the truck side to side (not rocking it), rocking it side to side or just getting in and out of it and if the truck is sitting in still pushing the truck back and forth (back to front or vise versa).

Bob,
I noticed mine started doing it after that trip we went on. You know the one where I said I don't have it, and you're like you will soon enough. Well yeah, it's there. But not as bad as yours. Have you thought about just saying the hell with it and getting a whole different leaf pack and saying screw toyota? You've put way too much into that truck to let it go because of a stupid noise. Besides, who the hell will I go wheeling with?
EDIT:
Have you tried chassis lube in between the leafs? Like the same stuff you would use to grease up the u-joints on the driveshafts? Speaking of which, I really need to stop at my auto store and pick up an angled grease zerk fitting for my front driveshaft. Really need to lube that up before we go to Wharton.
I've just sprayed between all the leaf layers, jumped on her, then sprayed again. Last a month or so. Did it last in June. Listened to her squeak on and off in the summer. Really not that bad...
Of course now its been rainy, snowy, and cool. No noise at all for over a month.
Finally got some time off 2 weeks ago and was looking to take the truck to do the TSBs for the leafs and the clutch pedal too. Of course, I couldn't get either to squeak even though it was 'warm' at 65, so canceled the appt. Both squeaks are summer only, maybe next year or the magical truck gnomes will fix it for me...

Magical truck gnomes! If there was such a thing I think they would have placed a visit to me by now. Maybe they did and placed mice in my springs! Or I ran his little ass over and didn't know it.
I want to try and hold off until after winter before I make up my mind on what to do. I'll have to start checking around with other companies about leaf springs since Toyota won't stand behind anything. Maybe I'll try ARB thru Doug. Oh, the anti-squeal pads that were replaced twice? They are almost out AGAIN! You'll see what I'm talking about.
If (who am I kidding) it is still doing it on Saturday maybe we can try and nail down just where the noise is actually coming from with someone rocking, pushing the truck around with a couple of us underneath to see where it might be.

If you heard just how bad the squeak was, you'd be pretty pissed too. I think it's the fact that Toyota isn't doing shit about, not the noise.
Thanks Rodge. Yea Blake, if you had to listen to this noise I think you'd be a little pissed as well. Especially with how anul you are.
I could understand if this truck was like 10 years old and 200,000+ miles on it but come on, I don't even have 10,000 miles on it yet and just hit 2 years old!

i hosed off my leafs with pressure wash and i thought it was good but it just made it little less and once it stopped raining it came back again also. I would love to know how to stop the sqeaking, really makes me hope people dont turn around when i drive up because then i'll know its because of the sqeaking. Not a good feeling to have on a new truck.

That is exactly what I'm talking about. Don't mind driving it in the rain because the noise is not there but when its dry,
Adventure North, yea that might have to be my next course of action after Winter if Toyota will still not come up with a fix. I know exactly what will happen though, I'll put out the money for new leafpacks and then I'll get the call from Toyota that they will replace the leafsprings!
