Found solution for noisy leaf springs!!!

I have a 06 dbl cab 4x4. I have 31,000 miles on it already and ever since around 15,000 miles i have had the famous VERY noisy leaf springs. I have spray all kinds of oils and have even had the dealership lube the springs. All these have lasted for no more than a week at a time. About three weeks back while i was ordering some amsoil product for some friends i notice their Amsoil MP HD heavy duty metal protector in my catalog. Read it and asked my rep if this would be good on my noisy leaf springs and he said without a doubt it would fix it. so i ordered two cans and sprayed 1/2 a can all over and in between my springs three weeks back and since then i have been on the beach twice and at the ranch in very muddy conditions three times and still quiet as a mouse!!! finally a product that works!!!! its a dry, wax-like film that lubricates chains, hinges, nuts and bolts and does not attract dust. its a heavey duty spray lubricant fortified with special rust and corosion inhibitors. it penetrates and adheres to metal surfaces, leaving a long-lasting protective coating. if you can get it use it!!!

very nice find, might have to buy a can of that to give it a shot.

Did you stretch out your leafs to spray it or did you just spray right on it while the truck was sitting regular?

Another good one is motorcycle "Chain Wax". It is thick and sticks to what it contacts.

You can jack the butt end up by the axle and let the wheel sag. This opens up the springs and allows a spray nozzle to really get in there.

I have this product and did the same thing about a year ago. It really does work. I sprayed every exposed nut and bolt under the truck and it has been quiet as a mouse ever since. In the spring I usually spray everything down again.

I gotta find this stuff! Thanks for the find! I didn't jack my truck up last time I sprayed with regular lube, and it makes total sense on why you would want to.

I'll be doing it this weekend.

Nice find. Now I just need to find it. Would automotive chains sell it? Pep Boys, Strauss, etc?

Thanks for the offer and link. Could you PM me the part number. I found this sprays on the website but don't know which one I need to get. Maybe this can get me by until I can get new springs!
