Annoying "tick"

I searched, and could not find this one. I have an '06 DC, and I have an annoying "tick" coming from the "panel" between the front door and back door, on both sides. It ticks when I go over a bump, and its driving me nuts. I was wondering if anyone could be of any help. Its slight, but noticeable, almost like a "click"....

It's your window glass rattling.

I had the same noise in my rear driver side window. I fixed it by stuffing the weatherstripping around the window glass so it would "grip" the glass more and no rattles!

Thanks NorCal... It seems like its coming from the panel where the seat belt comes from, but you are probably right, it may be traveling....its a tick-tick-tick whenever I go over a bump. Not loud at all, and you need to the radio off to notice.

Did you take the door apart to do this NorCal? Thanks again.

it probably is something loss in there. you should take it to your dealer, show them the tick, and make them fix it.

It could be the seat belt clips swinging against the side of the interior. Mine do this on the passenger side sometimes when my wife leaves a twist in the belt when she gets out of the truck.

On the 05 XRunners, there is a rattle that comes from the passenger seat. The lever for the reclining latch is loose and rattles behind the plastic cover.

If this is what you have the fix is simple. Take off the plastic covers from the side of the seat near the door. Pop off the retaining clip for the lever. Wrap the lever some some electrical tape to dampen the rattle and reinstall. Problem fixed.
