yes i know this is a repost.. but the newer owners may not have seen it


thought this could be some fun information about the taco..


its made in northern cali in fremont.

frames come from DANA in stockton - seen the plant. fam friend works there

motors are from long beach or japan

beds are made and painted in mexico..

I was going through the series of photos and they end at around 21 of 39. Pretty neat operation they have there. Hard to believe the amount of steel they go through in one day. Over a million pounds a day!!!

Yes the frames is by Dana, but I'm sure production moved to San Antonion TX. New facility be cranking out the new Tundra frame too. Let's hope Dana got their act together and build some quality frame and doesn't fall apart like they did on the Durango's.
