So I just got the USA spec ipod Interface (PA11-TOY) in the mail. It has a sticker on the back to call. I called and they said depending on the stereo I have I may need to send it in for a software update. I have a 2006 DC w/the JBL 6 disc in dash stereo. Anyone have to do this or can I just plug it in and go?

is that all the info they gave you???? they don't even say what stereos need the software update? that's pretty shitty

The girl I talked to didn't know much. I told her I had the JBL stereo and I could get her a number from the dash panel, but she said that wouldn't help. I may try to call back Monday (if I don't try to install it anyways this weekend). I'll let you know what they say (if different from today).

So what happened with your install? I have the same stereo and am wanting to do the exact same thing. Just looking for some clues.

JTJ, sorry for the extremely late reply. I assume you got your installed already, but I just pluged this in and everything worked. It been great ever since. Don't know what that extra note meant that was included because it worked great.

Yea, I know. I haven't checked this out lately. I tried to stay away becasue looking here always makes me want to start modifing. I will be checking this more often as I am ready to start little things here and there. Nothing real big yet.
