Brake Light in Camper Top Stopped Working

I just noticed that the brake light on my camper top is no longer working. I have an A.R.E Z-series. I plan to check with the local dealer on Monday, but does anybody know any other sources where I can find a replacement light? Its an LED light, and apparently the whole thing has to be replaced instead of just the bulbs.

My first guess is that it's a bad connection where they tapped into the stock brake light wiring.

Probably used a 3m wire tap and didnt get a good connection. They can corrode with time.Make sure your getting power to it before you replace it.

I actually retapped the wires trying to get it to work, but still no luck. What can I use to test if its getting power? I picked up a circuit tester at Autozone, but I don't think I got the right thing.

What kind of tester is it? A little light thing? Is the brake light housing easy to take down?

It looks like a screwdriver with a light & battery in it, and it has a cord with an alligator clip on the other end.

The brake light housing on the camper top is easy to remove, but it is fully enclosed and sealed. So I don't think I can get to the internal wiring.

use a razor blade and peel back a little peice of insulation on both wires so that you can see the copper wire. Connect the aligator clip to one wire, and then touch the end of the pen to the other wire. Have somebody press on the brake pedal. The test light should come on if you've got a good connection. If the light doesn't come on then that means you need to check your wiring again, it's not the LEDs. If the test light lights up then you have a defective brake light unit.
