Just a fyi about touch-up paint. I've tried paint scratch.com for factory paint and it was pretty close but not close enough . So I was just happen to be walking thur walmart and came accross a model airbrush paint that is a perfet match. Its called Kustom Kolors (brand name) color blue metallic. It come in 1oz or 4oz aresol. Here is a pic to show you. I painted the tailgate handle to match the rest of the truck. It was so much easier to airbrush it then the spray can type. The airbrush you had more control of the paint flow. they also make a clear coat too. So far it's been about 2 days since i painted it and it seems to like the waxing i did.

isn't it a little too early to be applying wax to fresh paint? u prolly should have waited longer, but hopefully no ill effects will result. looks like a good match to me though. good job
Wax won't hurt a small paint touch up, but I probably would have waited about 3 days to let the paint get real hard and then polished it real smooth with a buffer, then applied wax.
That's a great tip. I just purchased the touch up paint from Toyota for $10. I haven't used it yet, but if it doesn't look good I'll be sure to buy me some of the model paint. Thanks.

Great find. Did you prep it with primer or adhesion promotor?
I first did 2 coats of gray primer and sanded smooth then 3 coats of blue then 3 coats of clear with sanding in between the first and second coats of clear.
