Help Needed with '05 tacoma cd player

the volume went dead for no reason at all although i remember yesterday i changed the oil of my truck then did the turn off turn on key procedure to remove the dummy light ... that procedures seems to kinda restart the car because i had to readjust the time on the car after i did that ... now im not sure if the volume went dead because of that but im hoping some of you might now a thing or two about this... thanks for all the help i appreciate it

Ambo,

I just changed my oil again Saturday too. I assume the reset of which you speak is the one where you press the odo button and turn on the key until the dashes disappear. That does not reset my clock or radio or anything else I notice, except the maintenance light, of course.

Did you disconnect the battery? That would explain the clock, but not the CD player. I suspect it is an unrelated problem. Check the fuse. If you are using a DF-TOY or something, check the threads on that because some owners are having problems with those.
