I am probably going to get rid of my truck really soon. I was car shopping and found a truck that would better suit the family. I worked the best deal without letting them know I had a trade. They always raise the asking price if they know you have a trade so they can show on paper that they gave you way more than what your trade in value is worth. Long story short they offered me $14,500 (real money not a fluffed up #) for my truck.
Do you guys think I could sell my truck for more than that or should I take their 14,500? I have not really tried selling my truck but I think now is the time.
My truck has 27,000 miles which is right where it should be according to KBB.com.
Anybody want a one of a kind 05 tacoma. I guaranty your chances of seeing another truck like this one is next to none.
so what does kbb say your truck is worth stock? lowering it hurt the value some, especially for trade in. but it isn't an extreme lowering so it shouldn't hurt it too much. you also have to remember that you'll save $14.5k in taxes. so you can add that to the value they are offering you

KBB fair trade in value (dealers always give the fair rating never good or excellent) is 10,290 if it was just like the day I bought it.
in cali i dont think you get tax credit from the trade, i dont know what the deal is where you live but like someone said above thats another 1400 on ur deal you get with the trade in
I was looking at another Tacoma. I don't really need a different vehicle but, I would like to have something with a back seat. I don't really care for how the double cabs looks but I like the rear passenger area. I really like how the access cabs look but the rear area doesn't look to be too comfy for anybody over 3 feet tall. Might have to buy something full size. I don't know about the 07 Tundra yet. Sometimes it looks like it might have potential and other times it looks like crap.
If i do end up getting something else I will have to make it stand out and be one of a kind like my stubby X. Here is a pic I chopped up trying to see if I could make a 07 Tundra look better.

i like the way the new tundra looks, especially the side and rear profiles. but i don't care for the front end. it looks too much like a taco front, ie too small for a bigger truck
