I have heard the URD is better. I plan on going with the URD once I have a little more cash. I think its like half the price of the TRD.

I have the URD SS and it was probably one of my best mods. TRD or URD...doesn't really matter. It boils down to preferance.

TRD is more exensive, but your replacing the whole shift rod.

URD is cheaper which just adds an extention.

Both do the same thing.

I don't know about the TRD, but the URD install was a breeze.

get it...you'll be happy.

I just installed the TRD shifter. Really nice. I ordered the URD first but that was before I heard about the TRD. If I don't like the TRD i will install the URD. but so far I really like the TRD. Only had it installed a day now. Also the instructions were not very clear and I think it was about a 3 hour or more install. I bet that is a record.

I just picked up the URD shifter and it works really nice a little stiff going into rev' but with only 1200 mi on her I think it will loosen up a bit the throw is awesome very very easy to chrip them in 2nd

what benefit do these provide? I came from a 5 speed Ranger which felt like you were rowing through the gears, so my stock 6 speed shifts like a dream comparedto my old truck... what do these change? easier shifts? I don't get it, pardon my ignorance... HAHAHAH
