Sirius Antennae

Finally got around to routing my antennae for my Sirius receiver out of my third brake light. Ran into a couple of issues which I thought I'd post in case someone else was thinking about doing this mod sometime.
First off. taking off the coat hangers is pretty straight forward, however, does require some force. As most already know all you have to do is turn the hangers 90 degrees counterclockwise and they pop out. In doing so, I somehow managed to crack one of the clips that locks the hanger in to place so I'm currently in the process of crazy gluing it back together (Seems to be holding so far!). Just wanted to give a heads up that the clips attached to the hangers are fairly delicate apparently.
Second, I beleive PB mentioned that there is no need to take the brake light housing completely out but I don't know how he managed to fish any wires through without doing so. I wound up taking out the complete housing and breaking the seal between it and the truck with a sharp razor blade. When I put it back together I just made sure to put a nice thick bead of silicone to, hopefully, prevent any leakage.
Running the wires down the head liner and under the door sill is cake. The sills pop off with a little force and the clips holding these on are pretty sturdy so you can really yank on em if needed. In all, I guess it went well besides breaking one coat hanger. Now on to installing a DF-Toy! Wish me luck cause I'm gonna need it.

You can remove the lens but I don't think it helps any. The lens just screws to the plastic. It doesn't screw to any metal or anything. The gasket is basically the only that holds the 3rd brake light to the cab.

Mine is sitting on top of my dash in the corner. Works perfect, and It doesn't have to touch my paint.
