I found a good deal on a MegaWarrior. There's lots of different Yakima accessories, and I'm not exactly sure what I need. I want to mount it on my camper shell. I don't have any tracks on my shell. Do I just need bolt down Landing Pads #6, and Control towers? Or do I need cross bars too? Can the MegaWarrior mount right to the Control Towers?
you need cross bars for sure. I would reccomend that you get tracks installed (or install them yourself-it's easy). The tracks broaden your possibility to change what you carry later on. If you get the yakima tracks, then get landing pad #1 and the control towers-you will be set. The mega warrior will ount right to the round yakima bars.
dont forget rack $400 retail in the stores. i got mine for $320 that was havin a clearance sale and was closing down. you defff need the tracks. it can get expensive.

Since you have done everything else on your truck to the highest quality, I wouldn't scrimp on this project... do it right or you will regret it in the long run... I would get tracks and that way too you can adjust where the basket sits...

q towers don't go on the tracks, only the control tower and landing pad. That's the setup i have, and it is by far the best out there b/c you can take the rack on and off in about 1 min! really easy for cleaning the truck--if you like to do that sort of thing Pb ! It hurts a bit in the beginning, but it's real nice. also to add a point about the q Towers, they are a pain in the ass to install and remove, you will never take them off once you put them on-trust me.
Man, did I luck out. They guy I bought this off of is a real cool guy. He's giving me new: cross bars, control towers, locks, stretch net, and some other little accessories. All for $250, plus I helped him a little with some car stereo wiring. Sweet deal. All I have to do is order the tracks.
