Need Advice on Subwoofer

Ive searched the forums and the net till im crosseyed and still am undecided on a set of subs. Im really interested in the Infinity Perfect 10.1. Crutchfield has them on sale buy one get the second free with free shiipping. Speaking with the rep she suggested the Infinity Reference subs implying that the Perfects would overpower the rest of the system.

Im not really interested in booming bass but really intersted in accurate bass ie SQ. I need to stick with that $150 mark for the subs. These will be going in the musicmoose dual 10" enclosure (5.75" mount depth, and .75 cu ft).

I will also need an amp to power these new subs. Anything you guys can offer would be much appreciated.

The Infinity Reference subs might fit but their basket design is almost square and it might cause problems.

+1 on the eD's. I replaced an Infinity with an eD, and after some tuning there's no way I'd go back. You can get a pair of the 11kv.2's for $130 shipped. I have single D4 wired to 2 ohms and am pushing it with 650W from a Nine.2x. Absolutely rocks! The Infinity would be in pieces with this much power on it.

I'd also have to recommend ED. I have a pair of the 11KVs and I'm constantly getting questioned about what I have. When I show the questionaires....they're shocked.

I believe the IDQ10 and the ED 11KV2 are along the same lines of quality. Which ever once is cheaper. You can't go wrong either way, but I know from experience that ED's customer service is TOP NOTCH.

I agree!

They are both pretty much the same.

I have a 12IDQ and I have never heard a cleaner sub in my life. The low notes are absolutely amazing. It stays clean with any type of music.

eD service is very TOP NOTCH.

My dream setup in the truck are 2 11kv.2's subs and a NINe.2x!

Well I just got off the phone with Chris at ED. He set me up with a pair 11KV2s and a Nine2 amp to power them. Total price shipped was 322.09 Super nice guy and seemed very knowledgable.

Just for further reference he stated that the musicmoose enclosure was a little big for the 11KV2 subs, and suggested filling them with solid media..phone book wood etc. They prefer a .5 to the mooses .75 area.

Thanks guys for helping me get "closure" on this. I was super confused on what my best bang for buck would be.

You may want to consider a pair of Arc Audio 10D4 subs. Very clean sub!
