Here are pics of my Donahoe / Total Chaos / Dakar Lift
I finished installing the rear last weekend and got it aligned today. The back is about 1" higher than the front because I left the coilovers at the height set from Donahoe. I did not want to crank them up and get a harsher ride. It rides and soaks up bumps much better than stock.
Looks good Did you fix the vibe problem you were having?
It was a combination of problems. The high speed vibration/shimmy was fixed by a good good balance using the haweka adapter and road force balance. The 20-25mph vibration was gone after installing the lift and carrier drop spacer. So I think the pinion angle and some susupension bolts were not torqued correct from the factory.
How much is the hoe's set from factory? 2" so if you wanted to could you crank up the hoes a little more to make the truck sit level? I'm thinking about getting the dakars, but i don't want it to be higher in the back i want it level...
Hey I was wondering how big of a job it was to change the upper control arm bolt out? apparently Toyota said it was a 16 hour job!!
they said the body of the truck would need to be lifted to take it out unless you brought it out 1 inch cut it off bring it out another inch cut it off and so on...
