X-runner hood scoop

Hey everyone. I have a question for you who own an X-runner. Did you open the hood scoop and if you did, does it have any change in ride at high speeds or different sound? What was the purpose of doing? Thanks everyone. :-)

Oh and tell me if I write something stupid or whatever. I don't like looking like an idiot. haha!

The purpose of the scoop is looks. If you open it up you are just going to let it rain on the engine Don't bother. Some claim it drops underhood temps at a stoplight, yea ok.... All you are going to do is make a mess for yourself.

My thoughts exactly. But some people have done it. So I just want to know if they have problems with it. I don't think I'm going to do it. Thanks though. :-)

I DID IT TO MY X-RUNNER. IT DOESEN'T HELP ANYTHING. AS A MATTER OF FACT I MESSED UP THE INSERT AND AM LOOKING TO TRY AND FIND A REPLACEMENT INSERT FOR MINE.

NuckinFutz, a member here, actually was in the process of making the scoop functional(I'm not sure if he finished or not). Indeed, tests have been done and have shown that there is a minimal amount of air that would even enter the scoop, but nonetheless, it's pretty BA. Search it up.
