Passed Inspection in VA with Aftermarket exhaust...

I dont know if anyone here in VA were concerned... I have an aftermarket exhaust on my Taco. I was worried that it might be an issue. It is a g-force 2 chamber muffler (From SummitRacing.com) i had welded on in place of the old one. It is a Flowmaster knock-off. Sounds great. Anywho... ran the ol' ODB II to check for codes... none registered... took it in for inspection... mint... in and out in 20 mins. Just wanted to pass this on for anyone who might be worried about this!

And BTW... in VA the inspector cannot fail you for illegal tint either. Only the PD can get you on that.

the muffler doesn't have anything to do with emissions. it's the engine and cats that control the emissions of your vehicle

Good to know about the tint at least. They are hawks up there about emissions i hear. They don't test emissions in va beach area other than leaking muffler.

Yep... its all about the computer now. They obviously only care if you throw a code. About the tint...
I have 20% on the fronts and 5% on the rear... No issues here!

I'm in texas. Ive been pulled once for my tints. State trooper made an ass out of himself. He thought i had a darker tint on the front than i should have.

He calls for someone to bring a light meter. Falls right on the limit. Assnut wasted 30 minutes of my time. He was walkin away saying have a nice day and i just peeled out on the way off and he got covered in water / dirt Cop got what he deserved.
