JBL 6 disk

Has anybody installed a PA-10-toy or PA-11-toy in a 2006 taco with the stock JBL 6 disk changer? Do you still have use of the cd player?
I've read other posts that say it works on single disk and 6 disk (I thought the stock 6 disk changer was the JBL). USA SPEC says it's not compatible with the 2006 6 disk changer. Trying to get an answer from someone who has done this exact mod. IF not the USA SPEC product, what about another brand.

Yes, yes, and yes. It all works great. The JBL has the same plug as the regular stereo, and the display says something like "CD1". (Not in the same county as my truck right now, so can't verify what the display says.)
