Power in the bed

Since we have an outlet in our bed(which makes it easy) Has anyone taught about decorating your truck with lights for Xmas? Just a taught? I just might do it!

Yea, I thought of putting a lighted wreath outside center of the back window with suction cups to hold it in place

Haha! It'd be hilarious to have the icicle type lights hanging around the bed!

Lol! This ridiculous idea came to me while I was hanging the lights on the house this weekend.

Two years ago had a lighted sleigh with Santa in it. For a day. Seemed funny the night before, after a few beers. That got old.

I actually saw a DC with lights running the outline of the bed and cab...looked rediculous, but cool at the same time.

Don't they make 12V christmas lights and wreaths for cars?

it's been done and it looks great. a guy in our town used to have an older ford explorer and he hooked up an ac/dc inverter and had lights all over the thing. the cops pulled him over and made him take them off right there. i think there is a law in most states that says you can't have any lights on your truck other than heads, fogs and tails. the cops 'round here will even pull you over for neons. i don't have any, don't really like them, but i still don't see how they cause a problem.

Reminds me of the guy that did that to his house and the Trans-Siberian Christmas music.

I think I am going to do it, I will run them on the inside of the bed using the moveable d-ring things, so its not obnoxious or anything.
