Hi guys. long story short, while helping my brother move, I scratched my bumper accidently driving into a cement block. I know this is nothing compared to some wrecks on here but this is my first new vehicle and it's only 4 months old, so I could really use some cheering up right now
Is this fixable? will it buff out? if so how much do you think it this cost me? do i need a completely new bumper? Should i really invest in an ARB BULL BAR ???
Sorry for the huge picture. I posted it this big on purpose so ya'll could see the detail of the damage...
No you wont need a new bumper. However, the scratches are too deep for an easy fix especially if you dont know how to fix it yourself. I would get an estimate at a body shop. Im guessing anywhere from 200-500; mostly for labor.
there is a shop near where i live and they are professionals at fixing stratches gnna cost me around 300 but ima wait till summer to get mine fix
tonneau 1st, grille 2nd, then the stratches
off the topic question guys

Start a new thread. Your question won't get many replies buried in an unrelated thread like this.
Man... I cringe at that picture. I had an entire retread come off of a semi right in front of me the other day. I was sure it ripped off my air-dam. Nope... just scraped up the skidplate (more). I hit it hard enough that it actually skipped my iPod!

Wow that sounds like a deal, I went to a body shop around here and the guy wanted to charge me 800! Where is this place your talking about? I scratched my back fender and the area around it real bad.
I feel your pain. The lawn service at the office took a chunk of paint off my front bumper cover with the mower a few weeks back. Cost around $380 to get it sanded and repainted. For that ballpark, you're probably not going to get those gouges fixed, though.

Someone backed into my truck about 3 weeks after I bought it. The scratches don't look bad in this picture but they were very deep. Because of the "textured" paint on the side of the truck and how deep the scratches where they had to replace the piece on the side of the fender with a new one. Total cost to fix was around $450, of course that is in over-priced Northern VA. I just had them blend the scratches back in on the front bumper...if they would have taken the front bumper off and repainted the whole thing it would have cost about $700 total. Luckily the guy that hit me (this happened at the parking garage at work) left a note and he paid for the damages- it pays to be parked directly in front of a security camera.

Maybe I'm a cheap bastard but if it were me I'd use touch up paint and save the $450.
I thought about that, but the scratches were so damn deep on the side fender piece that there were large depressions from the plastic (or whatever those things are made out of) being shaved off. It would have been pretty obvious if I tried to touch it up, especially with the textured paint that is on the fenders. The fact that the guy that hit me was paying to get it fixed and my truck was brand new at the time (I hadn't even made the 1st payment on it) was enough to persuade me to go ahead and have a shop fix it.
