New Taco has a Demon

My 2006 access cab is acting strange. Since the cold weather hit here in Minnesota, my dome light comes on every time I make a left or right turn (with or without the turn signal on)! It quickly goes off when the car straightens out, but this is really annoying. I have not messed with the wiring- the only thing I've done is add WeatherTech floor mats. The mats do not appear to be blocking the closing of the door. Any ideas on the problem? I will take it to the dealer next week, and if that doesn't work, I'll have the Priest douse it with some Holy water. Thanks.

PM demoncleaner

ask your dealer. I'd check relay box and fuses for any conductive material that shouldn't be there...or could be that your wiring has something loose.

i'd let the dealership deal with it. hopefully it does it every time you make a turn so you can easily show the problem to them

I bet your door switches are the culprit.

I would take it to the dealer they would know best how to fix this.

Mine did that once, but only on right turns - I left the driver's window down by accident one night and it rained. For the next couple of days my dome light would creep on and off when I'd make right turns. It went away after everything dried out, though.

Good point, Brandon. I've had it through the car wash a couple times. I will post what happens after my visit to the Toyota docs next Wed.

This may be a silly question but are all the doors shut well... If one was slightly ajar it may cause this.... if that doesn't work take it on into the dealer and let them troubleshoot it... thats what the warrenty is for...

The very day I read the first post, it happened to me. Both right and left turns. I just opened and closed the doors and it took care of it. No problems since.
