The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act states that Toyota has to prove your lift caused whatever problem you're trying to fix under warranty. If they can't prove it, and you have a legitimate warranty claim, they have to fix it under warranty.

I see... Would it be better if i had the toyota dealer install the lift? There is a dealer by me that has them come with lifts/wheels off the showroom floor.

I'm installing mine in a friend's shop. I hear that if the dealer will even install your lift, they'll charge an arm and a leg. Usually the dealer installed lifts are Revtek spacer lifts. Yours may be more complicated.

Although they sell a lifted Taco, it doesn't necessarily mean that the dealer installed it. They could have subcontracted the work out to another shop. You mean actually trust the dealer to lift your truck for you, are you joking? I wouldn't trust them to clean my windshield! Re-read the Magnusson-Moss act.

Ya thought about that. one thing about the lift. I have basic mechanical skills, think its better to pay a shop to install the lift, or do it myself?

It's like taking out a shock. You'll need a jack and some stands. And if you don't have a strut compressor I would suggest Calling around to see if a shop in you area would do it for you. Remember to give them the longer top plate bolts. I did everything myself on base. It took me about 3 hrs. Click on my sig.
