toyota xm unit

I recently installed a OEM Scion head unit in my 2005 tacoma DC using an aftermarket dbl-din install kit with some minor cutting and filing, I still need to add some filler trim to the face...but not bad as-is (7 out of a possible 10). SOUNDWISE WOW + MP3's what a difference we tacoma owners got screwed.....the scion deck with just the few adjustments it has blows my old factory unit away...so much so that I am tempted to forget about installing the subwoofer I fabricated for behind the seat.....we'll see on that one. I currently am running an aftermarket XM unit thru the USASPEC adapter which sounds fine but is annoying to look at....I also have a factory XM set up w/wiring which came out of a lexus (which is the same controller as the scion I have both) which I tried to bench test on the scion radio and it did not respond when I pressed the sat . radio control....I have seen 1 post elsewhere that someone had a similar issue..just curious if there is anyone out there that has been through this before and has knowledge of the OEM XM wiring any tricks or tips...something I'm missing?

I wonder if you could take some nail polish remover or something, and get rid of the "scion" logo?
