Damn - another one trying to leave the family. See what the dealers are selling these for in the area, then maybe shoot for $1000 less? If you trade it, you'll get screwed, but if you can gain some interest by showing better value than what they can get off of the lot, that could work for you.
The trouble you might have is that there's alot of good deals on new Tacomas right now.
I dont think you will get $23,000 for it. Youd probably be lucky to get $20,000. Give it a shot though. List it for a while at $23k and if it doesnt sell lower your price.
If I were in the market for a Tacoma right now, no way would I pay $23k for an '06 with 10,000 miles on it no matter how many add-ons or other goodies it has on it. Just because you put money into a vehicle, that doesnt mean that its worth more.

In June I traded in my sport package for $26K. It had 8K miles, and was the same as yours, v-6 auto access cab in black. Also around here nobody budges on sticker price. New it was just over $29K and after I traded it in they resold it as a certified used for $28K.
thanks for the refrences guys. I want to pick up an older toyota. Even an late 80's one

well then you won't be buying it. but i don't think he'll have any problems selling it for 23k.
I owe 23,350 on it. I dont have to sell it. But it would make more room for upgrades to the house.
